Hector is CEO of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.avricorehealth.com\/\">Avricore Health<\/a> which is a pharmacy service innovator focused on acquiring and developing early-stage technologies aimed at moving pharmacy forward. For example, its flagship offering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthtab.com\/en\">HealthTab<\/a>&#x2122; gives community pharmacies a turn-key solution for rapid testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reason they\u2019re doing this is because the scope of services being offered by pharmacies is increasing rapidly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> And that\u2019s happening because our sick-care system, where we wait for folks to develop diseases and then treat them, is becoming unsustainable. It\u2019s too expensive, we have workforce shortages including the potential for massive physician shortages in the coming years, and frankly, it\u2019s just not a smart way to do things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, governments are taking steps to move towards a system that is designed to keep people from getting sick in the first place. And looking to do so in a more equitable way.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We discuss all of this today, largely, through the lens of new healthcare policies coming down in Canada. We explore what\u2019s driving it, and what it means for Canadian healthcare spending and for healthcare businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hector helps us see how these changes create an opportunity for community pharmacies to expand their role, provide a better experience and better outcomes to patients, and to do so in a way that is equitable, good for the pharmacy, good for the pharmacist, and good for the healthcare system as a whole. A win for everyone involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hector Bremner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hector Bremner\u2019s life and\ncareer have been marked by recognizing good ideas, getting things done and\nbringing people together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a successful career\nin business development and operations management with some of Canada\u2019s largest\nbrands, Hector founded Vancouver based TOUCH Marketing in 2007, whose\ninnovative marketing, communications and project management strategies earned\nhim a strong reputation for delivering results. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/deepdive.tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Hector-Bremner-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-563\" width=\"512\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/deepdive.tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Hector-Bremner-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/deepdive.tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Hector-Bremner-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/deepdive.tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Hector-Bremner-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This drew the attention\nof leading businesses and non-profit organizations looking for winning\nstrategies to communicate their messages and achieve their goals, and\nultimately brought him into the uniquely challenging world of provincial\npolitics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was invited to join\nthe BC Government in 2013 where he served as a key advisor in the offices of\nBC\u2019s Minister of International Trade, the Minister of Tourism and Small\nBusiness, as well as the Ministry of Natural Gas Development and Deputy\nPremier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After leaving the BC\nGovernment, he joined Vancouver based communications firm Pace Group as Vice\nPresident of Public Affairs.&nbsp; There, he\nput his unique experience and special capabilities toward navigating the\nprocess of public policy making and ensuring his clients\u2019 messages are heard. &nbsp;&nbsp;While there, he worked\nwith a broad range of clients on high profile matters in the energy sector,\nnon-profit, industry associations, local government and First Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hector\u2019s ability to align\nclients\u2019 interests with that of the public and key stakeholders through\neffective strategic communications approaches, as well as innovative government\nand public engagement, his clients found the support they needed to be\nsuccessful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2017, Hector Bremner was\nelected to Vancouver City Council in a by-election, having a dramatic impact on\nthe city\u2019s political culture and policy approaches related to the ongoing\nhousing crisis.&nbsp; The following year he\nchallenged for Mayor of Vancouver on a pro-affordable housing platform.&nbsp; While unsuccessful in achieving electoral\nsuccess, he candidacy has been noted for its powerful message and positive\nimpact on the policy environment. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bremner\u2019s board and\nnonprofit related experience also includes: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Fundraising\nfor the Canadian Olympic Committee<\/li><li>Board\nDirector of the BC Senior Services Society<\/li><li>Board\nDirector of the Vancouver Biennale <\/li><li>Cabinet\nMember, A Night of Miracle, BC Children\u2019s Hospital Foundation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/deepdive.tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Avricore-Health.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-564\" width=\"191\" height=\"65\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, Hector is CEO and Board Member of Avricore Health Inc.
